CHOY WAN
The exuberant and vibrant Choy burst into the public eye when she started modelling for designer labels such as Marc Jacobs, Chopard and Bvlgari in Kuala Lumpur in 2004.
Choy experienced her big break when she and her twin May became MTV Asia VJs hosting ‘Double Trouble’ and interviewing international stars including Michael Buble, Oasis, Wang Lee Hom, Westlife, The Backstreet Boys, and Taiwanese hip-hop group Machi. Her popularity as a VJs resulted in extensive media exposure, making her a familiar face across the region, and it wasn’t before long that Choy got her own reality TV show in Malaysia, ‘Cornetto Love? Perhaps 2’.
Choy’s career skyrocketed when she and May were cast for their first movie ‘881’ playing the roles of The Durian Sisters, which became the biggest box office hit in 2007 in Singapore. It was here that the talented twins got to display their flair for acting, singing and dancing.
When not working together, Choy and her twin sister May assert their individuality by working independently. Choy has presented on AXN’s eBuzz and was previously a Lush99.5FM DJ in Singapore. She has also hosted numerous events for the past 12 years for various brands and media, such as Zalora, Citibank, Samsung, Sulwahsoo, Audi, Tatler, Remy Cointreau and the Asian Television Awards. She is currently the social media ambassador for Motherswork Singapore and Le Petit Society.
Choy and her sister recently opened and closed the Melinda Looi show at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2017 this past August.
Dedicated to living life to the fullest, Choy loves cooking, travelling, learning about new cultures, homoeopathy, and nurturing her young family.
